When has dave ever said buy a house with cash? Never. Morgage is the only type of debt that is okay in his eyes, the goal is to pay off your house early. Sure a 15 year morgage payments are much larger, but the idea here is if you cant afford to pay the much larger morgage, the problem here is your income. Learn more skills and work harder to increase your income.

I'm a fan of Dave and I think he's good for getting people on track if they've been living fast and loose with no care for what they're doing. But I also think you've thoroughly demonstrated he doesn't know what he's talking about on this subject. And he seems to think shouting and turning up the amount of country in his voice will make him right. A shame to see it.

It's political to make the economy look better before the election. It will add to inflation.

I myself love playing the credit card points game, but i agree with Dave Ramsey preaching his don't-use-a-credit-card message. His clientele is literally people that are terrible with money.

I have a 401k I started 4 years ago. It has 51k in it. I contributed 21k. Looks like free money to me. I can loan out half, stop contributing, while still gaining interest and then start contributing again once the loan is paid off. Free money, free loan, same amount coming out of your check.

Dave has some great common sense comments, but I pick and chose Dave’s advise. This is a clear example of information from Dave that goes into the round file.

Folks like Grant Cardone and TikTok/ social media day traders remind me of the character Russ Hanneman from Silicon Valley. More money then sense when it comes to utilizing, protecting and earning more money.

Normally if the company is making a healthy and consistent amount of net profits and growing every year Dividend Investing is actually great but if the company is making losses and somehow able to make consistent dividend payout That should should be a giant red flag 🚩

Dave’s target audience are people who are in debt. Most likely people who have credit card debt. The reason behind getting rid of the credit cards is to remove the mechanism that is causing the problem.

I think having a dividend ETF/index fund as part of a 3 bucket strategy is wise. SCHD for instance has provided a solid dividend and has returns very close to the S&P500 for over a decade now. They also seem to perform better during a recession and can be a good counter balance to your value and growth stocks.

if i were to do mostly bonds in a 401k id probably be missinig out more since u can contribute 23k a year to it and only 7k in a roth ira. also ive heard of strategys like ira conversions and strats involving withdrawing only small amounts from a 401k to supplement your roth withdrawals. one other thing what if you planned ahead made a lot of money like a few years before your desired retirement date then switched jobs into a lower income work and took advantage of your 401k low income tax bracket until retirement or even past that. some people in retirement want something to keep them busy and that might be their job friends but dont want the responsiblity and stress of a job so the company might find them a position thats low skilled work that fits their needs so they can take advantage wait out til their i think 71 or 72 where theyre legally obliged to withdraw money from their retirement accounts then maybe even do a ira conversion all into their roth and live off their intrest or withdraw occasionally to buy what they need or want without it running out for the average life span of id say less than 100. then again most of those people are probably being held in a retirement home, have a nurse with them all the time well usually, or have kids taking care of them til death. in my opinion id adjust how hard i invest based on what i can do confrontably up until early stages of retirement so i can live most of my life and then retire and do things i know id like then with a saftey net incase im cursed with long life or medical issues.

What next generation? Women aren't having kids. If they do many are single mothers who chose a bad boy for the thrill.

Protection agaisnt fraud is exactly the same for credit cards and debit cards.. Why on earth hould it be diferent?

Credit score is one of the biggest scams in America. I find hilarious anytime i ear you guys talking about it. So if im good with my money, i save, have a good bank history, good job etc, im not gonna get a mortgage because i never used credit cards and instead was responsible and only payed in cash (as in not needing credit)?? It's so weird. Here banks look for people that show good money management, not that are allways in debt!

Good video thanks for posting. Finding good financial information on YT is tricky.

You could also take that $400,000.00 mortgage over 30 years with 20% down at 5% and show what happens when you take the $500.00 per month you now have in your pocket because the credit cards are paid off and apply that to your mortgage payment. It’s huge. The DR method is not for everyone. But it is for some of us.

A piece of information missing for me is what percentage of credit card users pay the debt off every month? Without fail. Then, what percentage of people claiming to pay the monthly debt religiously, actually miss the full pay off once in awhile and get an interest payment. I use a debit card. The money is in the account or the card gets declined. Works great for me.
